Trapped

Trapped in the horrors of menopause.
Let us talk about over heating.
Have you ever felt like somebody threw your body on top of a heated skillet?
Do you remember what sleep is?
Every day feels like I am living in hell.
When I close my eyes not soon far after I feel like I am being drowned.
Sweat seeping through all of my pores,
I wipe it off just to continue sweating even more.
I sleep with a fan practically attached to my feet.
I don't even remember what it feels like to live normally.
I suffer from sun up all throughout the sun being down.
I try my hardest
but I'd be a liar if I said that I wasn't tired.
Trapped in the horrors of menopause
I no longer have a say at all.
My body takes control
and when my mind does not want to agree it gets told to
"hit the road."
So then I just sweat
and try,
and then sweat some more.
