Heightened Emotions

My sadness feels to me as though it could last an eternity.

A black hole

with the powerful capabilities to suck me right in.

I sit with my sadness;

scared for what it could do to me.

Heightened emotions I may feel always,

& still, my sadness continuously does something different to me.
