I do not understand grief necessarily
What I do understand is, things happen and the world goes on.
I understand that inside grief there are lessons, I understand that if we do not apply the knowledge these hard lessons teach us then we will just continue to relive it.
Over and over,
Reminiscent on times that are long gone.
When some person dies the world does not need to stop.
your world, should continue to move on.
that person with it, in heart.
You should move on and take the person you are grieving along with you.
Applying the lessons you have learned.
Walking new and different paths.
Thanking the person you lost for always being there with you.
Thank the person you loved, the one who lost their life
then let them be the reason that you fight.
Grief is a life long process, that is what I understand.
So do not let it hold you back.
Pick it up, accept that it is now a part of your journey.
Welcome it for it is now a new piece of you.
Scary, I know.
Yet, I promise you, If you accept grief it will not hold you back,
It will happily walk comfortably beside you,
accompanying you on your painful journey
never overstaying her welcome.
Grief will help heal you & if you try not to control her
she will always know just when it is her time to go.
I promise you.
Grief and me, we have shared quite a few journeys & somehow she has always made sure
that I found my way back gracefully.
I thank Grief, sincerely
because although I do not understand her, I have come to learn that she is quite a good companion.
